Who God Is

Who is God?- Part 2
GOD IS UNSEARCHABLE- His ways are past finding out

Job 11:7-9 KJV
Canst thou by searching find out God?
canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
(8) It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do?
deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
(9) The measure thereof is longer than the earth,
and broader than the sea.

Job 37:23-24 KJV
Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice:
he will not afflict.
(24) Men do therefore fear him:
he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

Psa 145:1-5 KJV
I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
(2) Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
(3) Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable.
(4) One generation shall praise thy works to another,
and shall declare thy mighty acts.
(5) I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty,
and of thy wondrous works.

(Job 5:8-13 KJV)
I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
{9} Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
{10} Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
{11} To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
{12} He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
{13} He taketh the wise in their own craftiness:
and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.*
*{ie. the twisted plans of corrupt men turn back to bite them}

Isa 40:28-31 KJV
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of his understanding.
(29) He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
(30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
and the young men shall utterly fall:
(31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Rom 11:33-36 KJV
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
(34) For who hath known the mind of the Lord?
or who hath been his counsellor?
(35) Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
(36) For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things:
to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

GOD IS UNCORRUPTIBLE- (Holy and undefiled)-(Grk=Undecaying in essence or continuance, immortal.

Rom 1:16-25 KJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
(19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them;
for God hath shewed it unto them.
(20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:
(21) Because that, when they knew God,
they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
(23) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,
and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
(24) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts,
to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
(25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie,
and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator,
who is blessed for ever. Amen.

(Heb 7:24-26 KJV)
But this man(Jesus Christ), because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
{25} Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him,
seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
{26} For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled,
separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

GOD IS IMMORTAL
1Ti 1:17 KJV
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible,
the only wise God,
be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1Ti 6:14-19 KJV
That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable,
until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
(15) Which in his times he shall shew,
who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
(16) Who only hath immortality,
dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;
whom no man hath seen, nor can see:
to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
(17) Charge them that are rich in this world,
that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches,
but in the living God,
who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
(18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works,
ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
(19) Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come,
that they may lay hold on eternal life.

GOD IS IMMUTABLE- unchanging, eternal, not susceptable to change.

(Heb 13:8 KJV)
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

(Psa 90:2-4 KJV)
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
{3} Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
{4} For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night.

Psa 102:24-28 KJV
I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days:
thy years are throughout all generations.
(25) Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth:
and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
(26) They shall perish, but thou shalt endure:
yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment;
as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
(27) But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
(28) The children of thy servants shall continue,
and their seed shall be established before thee.

(Isa 44:6-8 KJV)
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts;
I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
{7} And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me,
since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them.
{8} Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it?
ye are even my witnesses.
Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Jam 1:17-20 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
(18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth,
that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
(19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren,
let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
(20) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

GOD ONLY IS WISE

(Rom 11:33-36 KJV)
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
{34} For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
{35} Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
{36} For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things:
to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Rom 16:25-27 KJV
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel,
and the preaching of Jesus Christ,
according to the revelation of the mystery,
which was kept secret since the world began,
(26) But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets,
according to the commandment of the everlasting God,
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
(27) To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

1Ti 1:15-17 KJV
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
(16) Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy,
that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering,
for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
(17) Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible,
the only wise God,
be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

(Gal 1:3-5 KJV)
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
{4} Who gave himself for our sins,
that he might deliver us from this present evil world,
according to the will of God and our Father:
{5} To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
