OPEN STATEMENT OF TRUTH

OPEN STATEMENT OF TRUTH

2 Corinthians 4:1-6
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=2+Corinthians+4:1-6

Dear Father, powerful sustainer,

You have called me to minister your mercy to the world, so let me
never lose heart or give up! May I renounce disgraceful,
underhanded ways in all forms and refuse to practice cunning or to
tamper with your word.

Let me state truth plainly and thereby commend myself to every
one's conscience in your sight. Even if the message of Good News is
veiled to some, it is veiled only to those who are perishing! Open
the eyes of those whom the god of this world has blinded. May they
see the light of the Good News, the glory of Christ, your very
likeness.

May I not put forth myself, but Jesus Christ, for I am your
servant, your slave, for Jesus' sake! For you have said, "Let light
shine out of darkness." I invite you to shine out of my heart so
that others will see the light of your glory, the face of Jesus
Christ, in my life.

In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Casting all your

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

Implicit in Peter's direction to the believer to cast away all cares to the feet of God is the truth that God Himself will care for them. God is powerful! He is sovereign, calling all matters into submission to His will! And He cares for us! If such a powerful God cares for us and our needs, can we fail to cast mastery of our cares and worries into His mighty hands?

Now therefore,

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: (Exodus 19:5)

Once we have placed our faith in Christ, we are exhorted to follow His commands and allow Him to rule in our lives. From that moment, we are considered God's own possession and treasure. There is tremendous hope and peace in the promise to be called "a particular treasure" for the Almighty King who is lacking in nothing. How amazing is His gracious lovingkindness toward us!

MY LIFE, GOD'S MESSAGE

MY LIFE, GOD'S MESSAGE

2 Corinthians 3:3-6
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=2+Corinthians+3:3-6

Dear Father, all-sufficient God,

Let me be a letter from Christ written to people who need to hear
the Good News, written not on paper with ink but on hearts with my
loving attitudes and actions.

I claim no self-sufficiency, but I believe the sufficiency of your
grace qualifies me to serve as a spokesman for your new covenant. I
hope through Christ that you might use me this way. Grant me this
sufficiency as I rely totally on you.

Thank you that the covenant itself is not a written code that
kills but a life-giving communication of the Spirit.

In the name of Jesus, confident of his sufficiency, I make these
requests. Amen.

For he that soweth

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:8-9)

If we sow the things of the flesh (that is, the things of sin), then we will reap eternal punishment; but if we sow the things of the Spirit (that is, the things of God), then we will reap eternal happiness and joy! As we sow the things of God and cultivate them we must keep pressing on. It may seem that our work is worthless, but in the end, we will reap eternal life with God. For what better harvest could we hope?

For the Son of man

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (Matthew 16:27)

Judgment, swift and final, is promised in the last day. Take heart, O believer, that your life is bound up with that of Christ Jesus. His life is your life. His obedience is your obedience. His resurrection is your resurrection. And when He stands to the fore in judgment, rejoice! For you will not stand before Him but alongside Him: holy, righteous, good, and acceptable!

BUILDING UP EACH OTHER

BUILDING UP EACH OTHER

2 Corinthians 1:23-2:11
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=2+Corinthians+1:23-2:11

Dear Father, giver of great joy,

I hope that in my effort to get others to live for you that I will
never lord it over their faith.

Help me work with them for their joy. Let them stand firm in
freedom in their faith.

Help my contacts with them not cause pain, but let my joy be their
joy, and let their joy be my joy! Help us to work together in a
common goal in the Lord. Help us work for each other's upbuilding
in holiness.

In the name of Jesus and in full confidence of salvation through
him I ask all these things. Amen.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (1 Peter 1:2-4)

From the foundation of the world, God foreknew His children and began to sanctify them through the precious blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. By the stripes of our Lord, we are given the gift of eternal life with all the joy and peace it could possibly present. By His infinite love and mercy, we are promised an inheritance that will never be lost or destroyed. For those who believe, we have been set apart by this remarkable hope of everlasting life with Christ.

For this God [is] our God for ever and ever:

For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] unto death. (Psalms 48:14)

When the storms of life assail us and we feel as though lost at sea, take heart, O Christian, take heart! Our Lord will never fail to lead us in the paths of righteousness, conforming us daily to the pure, holy, and loving image of His very Son, Christ our saviour!

CHRIST, OUR YES

CHRIST, OUR YES

2 Corinthians 1:12-20
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=2+Corinthians+1:12-20

Amen! Yes! Abba, Dear Father,

Let me find pride in this - that my conscience testifies that I
live my life in this world with holiness and godly sincerity, not
by earthly wisdom but by your graciousness.

Help me not to vacillate as I make my plans. Don't let me be like
those who are worldly, ready to say "Yes" and "No" at the same
time, talking out of both sides of their mouth.

As surely as you, God, are faithful, let me act in good faith
toward others. For your Son, Jesus Christ, in whom I believe by the
preaching of the Good News, was not Yes and No, but was Yes! For
all your promises find your Yes through him. So through him we
utter the Yes, the Amen, at the close of our prayers - to your
glory.

In the name of Jesus I ask this and utter my Yes! my Amen!
according to his will. Yes! Amen!

He that hath an ear,

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (Revelation 2:7)

Life and life eternal! That is the promise of God to all His people. The redeemed will conquer and their reward is to eat of the tree of life forever! Their heavenly rest is won, enjoyed, and assured. No more fear. No more anxiety. No more suffering. They eat of the fruit of God and are comforted!

Incline your ear,

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David. (Isaiah 55:3)

Everlasting is the covenant between God and His people. Evermore shall Christ rule upon the throne of David. His victory is won. His race is finished. Nevermore shall God's people look at the doom of history wondering, "Where is this looked-for salvation?" He has come! He has won! And we, His people, have seen Him!

Thy throne, O God,

Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom [is] a right sceptre. (Psalms 45:6)

The Lord is righteous and just; His kingdom will never end!

My Prayer: O Lord, I praise You! Thank you for being faithful even when I am faithless! Thank you for allowing me into Your everlasting kingdom. Keep my wandering heart close to You.
