An Open Hand

Beloveds, An open hand is like an open heart it holds and shares more than a closed one. Let us open our hearts and hands today.
Today's Read: Lam 3:41
Todays Biblie Study John 15-16

Be Transformed by the renewing of your mind

Be Transformed by the renewing of your mind

(Rom 12:1-2 KJV)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
{2} And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Be not CONFORMED to this world-
CONFORMED [GRK=conformed to the same pattern as, fashion yourself according to} `

(1 Pet 1:13-16 KJV)
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind,
be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
{14} As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
{15} But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
{16} Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

----------------------------------------
Be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of our mind
TRANSFORMED {GRK="metamorphosed", to change or be transfigured}

(Mat 17:1-2 KJV)
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother,
and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
{2} And was transfigured before them:
and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

RENEWING{GRK=to restore to renew}

(Titus 3:5-6 KJV)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
{6} Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
--------------------------------------------
MIND- ( O.T. translated "Heart" or "mind"). {HEB="heart", ie. the imaginations of the thoughts of the heart)
{HEB="mind", the spirit of a rational being}
(Gen 6:5-6 KJV)
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
{6} And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth,
and it grieved him at his heart.

(Gen 8:21 KJV)
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart,
I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake;
for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth;
neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

(Dan 5:18-20 KJV)
O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:
{19} And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him:
whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.
{20} But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride,
he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

MIND- (N.T.-translated as "Mind") {GRK=mind, the intellect, understanding}

(Mark 12:30 KJV)
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.

(Rom 1:28 KJV)
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind,
to do those things which are not convenient;

(Luke 24:45 KJV)
Then opened he their understanding,{GRK=mind}
that they might understand the scriptures,

(Rom 7:25 KJV)
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God;
but with the flesh the law of sin.
(Rom 13:11-14 KJV)
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:
for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
{12} The night is far spent, the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
{13} Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness,
not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
{14} But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

(Psa 51:10-13 KJV)
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
{11} Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
{12} Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
{13} Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

(Ezek 18:30-32 KJV)
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD.
Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
{31} Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed;
and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
{32} For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD:
wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
.
(Ezek 36:26-29a KJV)
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:
and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
{27} And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes,
and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
{28} And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers;
and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
{29} I will also save you from all your uncleannesses...

(2 Cor 5:17-21 KJV)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
{18} And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,
and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
{19} To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them;
and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
{20} Now then we are ambassadors for Christ,
as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
{21} For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
(2 Cor 6:1 KJV) We then, as workers together with him,
beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

(Eph 1:17-23 KJV)
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
{18} The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling,
and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
{19} And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power, {20} Which he wrought in Christ,
when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
[ {21} Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named,
not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
{22} And hath put all things under his feet,
and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
{23} Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
(Eph 2:1-2 KJV) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
{2} Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

(Eph 4:20-27 KJV)
But ye have not so learned Christ;
{21} If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
{22} That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man,
which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
{23} And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
{24} And that ye put on the new man,
which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
{25} Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour:
for we are members one of another.
{26} Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
{27} Neither give place to the devil.

(Col 1:19-23 KJV)
For it pleased the Father that in {Christ} should all fulness dwell;
{20} And, having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself;
by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
{21} And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works,
yet now hath he reconciled {22} In the body of his flesh through death,
to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
{23} If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled,
and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard,
and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;
whereof I Paul am made a minister;

(Col 3:1-10 KJV)
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
{2} Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
{3} For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
{4} When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
{5} Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
{6} For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
{7} In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
{8} But now ye also put off all these;
anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
{9} Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
{10} And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

(Titus 3:3-7 KJV)
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures,
living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
{4} But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
{5} Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
{6} Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
{7} That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Today's Read: Psalms 6-8

Psalms 6
1
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3
My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
5
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6
I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7
Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
Psalms 7
1
O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
2
Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3
O LORD my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
4
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
5
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
6
Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
7
So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
8
The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
9
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
10
My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
11
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
12
If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
13
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
14
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
15
He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
17
I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Psalms 8
1
O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
2
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
